Origin Sonic (OS) converts Sonic’s S into a liquid, yield-bearing coin. Balances rise automatically through frequent rebases, reflecting validator rewards. Because OS remains transferable, it slides straight into Sonic DeFi, letting users trade, lend or farm without losing staking income. Origin built OS on its heavily audited vault code, giving holders security alongside profit.
OS had no ICO or pre-mine. Supply only appears when users stake S, and it rebases as yield accrues. Origin captures a small share of rewards as a performance fee, half of which flows to OGN stakers, creating sustainable funding without selling tokens.
OS went live on Sonic in Jan 2025 as the chain’s first liquid staking token.
